Our Story

Hi There! 

I'm Randee Garrett - Owner and CEO of Avabelle Boutique.  After graduating from Michigan State with a Marketing and International Business Degree in 2008 during the recession, I didn't necessarily land a dream job right out of college.  I spent a few years in corporate America before deciding to jump into the cosmetic industry.   

I launched Avabelle online in 2015 while also working full time in cosmetics.  I am a makeup artist/cosmetic account coordinator, turned side hustler, turned full time entrepreneur as of August 2018.  I still enjoy doing makeup on the side for weddings and special occasions so if you ever want to talk about cosmetics and/or skincare - I'm always up for it!  You can never have too many lipsticks or face creams girlfriend. 

I've always loved the name Ava, and after spending countless hours trying to come up with a name I felt like Avabelle had a nice ring to it.

I personally curate every single item you'll see in the shop.  I have a passion for quality and I want you to feel put together, comfortable, on trend, and ready to take on the day when you wear the pieces you purchase from my shop.  I truly believe that we have something for every woman, at every age.  It is my mission to add value to your closet through pieces you can wear year after year.  I love helping women feel confident, inspired, and empowered. 

In 2019 I added a Mobile Boutique to the business.  It's a 26ft blush pink truck that is actually a walk in shop in the back, it even has a fitting room!  You can find us at pop-ups all over metro Detroit, as well as a few in Ohio.

In 2021 I finally moved the business out of my house and into our very first brick and mortar location! We are now located in Plymouth's Historic Old Village. The shop is not open traditional retail hours. We are pop-up style, meaning we are open select dates and times each month.

When I'm not working on the business you can find me doing an at home workout with The Sculpt Society app. Moving my body makes me feel good and I cherish my mornings spent working out, stretching, and meditating. I also love music, dancing, and reading. I hope to see you either in-store, at a pop-up, or online!
